Thi’s creative practice aligns at the intersection of design research, visual and participatory design. She explicates design principles and materials to tell stories across print and digital platforms. Thi enjoys collaborating on multidisciplinary projects that amplify the voices of different socio-economic groups, build communities, a sense of belonging, and personal empowerment in education, public places, and advocacy. “I believe that design should give community members the ownership to take the lead and build their future communities.”

Thi received her MFA in Communication Design at Texas State University and is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Visual Arts + Design, Weber State University & design research fellow at the Matthew S. Browning Design Lab, working on the Weber-Davis Entrepreneurial Ecosystem initiative.
